Freelance Work

Looking for somebody to have a final look at your English text before handing it in? Then let me proofread it for you. Got a German text that you want to open up to the English-speaking world? Then I am happy to translate it from German into English for you. I can also write texts for you, such as small blog posts or news articles. Or maybe you’re looking to give your English a bit of a boost through private lessons? Then let’s talk about how we can improve your English together.

My name’s Dan and I’m a British freelance editor who lives in Germany (and speaks German). With a masters degree in Language Technology and Foreign Language Teaching, as well as many years of working freelance, I am very happy to take on jobs you may have for me.

Over the years, I have worked for a variety of people and companies. Here is a sample:

Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences
I give a weekly General English B2 class and am currently working on a blended learning course for General English B2 to be held in the future.

Hessisches Kultusministerium
I take part in voice recordings for listening part of English exams at Realschulen and Hauptschulen in Hessen. I also proofread the exams before they are distributed to schools.

Mrs Wordsmith
I proofread a variety of products to check for typing errors and problems with the layout. Products I checked included word cards and teacher’s manuals.

I work on a variety of school products, including workbooks and smaller products, such as worksheets. I often work in a team of authors and editors and create the products using Adobe InDesign.

I proofread English texts that should stand out from the crowd and inform, yet entertain customers.

Got any questions or would you like to talk about your project and how I can help out? Then please do get in touch: I look forward to hearing from you!
